Lightweight Stability

Pacer Tents are a new breed of high performance lightweight tents for 3-4 season use. They are designed for those who use trekking poles on fast moving adventures.

Pacer Tents have a unique wind shedding shape. Custom connectors (pat.applied) join 2 trekking poles into an A frame in the center of the tent. Using the trekking poles for two purposes reduces tent weight. Using rigid trekking poles as support at the point of maximum loading allows Pacer Tents to stand stronger winds and heavier snow loads than tunnel tents with flexible poles.

The trekking poles mount on the outside of the fly for a quick pitch. Additional poles at the tent ends create a stable space for your feet and head, and extra storage space. Catenary cut panels keep the fly taut in the wind. It’s a hummer, rather than a flapper. The excellent clearance between the inner and outer tent gives added security in storm conditions.

  Siamese Twin vents, located at the tent peak, encourage maximum cross ventilation for minimum condensation.  

Silicon coated ripstop nylon fabrics are used for strength. Each model has an entrance vestibule and excellent storage space under the fly. A porch pole allows an extra covered area for cooking and extra protection for entry in wet conditions. The inner tent is insect proof. It has net storage pockets at the ends and a top hang loop.

Pacer Tents are flexible and versatile and are designed to be used fly alone for the lightest weight, or as double walled tents for the greatest warmth and insect protection. Fly and inner can be kept clipped together for the fastest pitch.
